Did Fluffy Steal Your Heart? TV Special Explores Bond Between Pet and Owner

This is a program I have been working on since the start of my internship in June. Purina and Kroger have teamed up to launch the second annual "Tales for the Pet Lover's Heart" campaign. The campaign will donate over $150,000 to animal welfare organizations nationwide and includes a national TV special that highlights the bond people share with their pets. The special features 6 individuals with strong animal bonds as well as consumer-submitted stories. Featured stories include a fire captain and his arson dog, a woman who rescues greyhounds, a veterinarian who treats eye diseases in animals, a Las Vegas performer who includes rescued cats and dogs in his shows, a pet photographer, and a man-dog surfing duo.
You can submit you favorite pet story to www.TalesForThePetLoversHeart.com – Purina and Kroger will make an additional donation to animal welfare organizations for each story shared.
