#GoGreen by donating electronics this Earth Month

Interested in celebrating Earth Month? If you’re in Chicago with extra electronics laying around, my brother (well, his company, Recycle Tech Solutions) will take them off your hands. And even better, they’ll plant a tree for each item donated through the DreamGreen program.

Stop by Tribune Tower this Thursday to lighten your electronic load and add a little green to the community. Chicago Magazine and Recycle Tech Solutions will be collecting a variety of items from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Here are just a few items they are accepting and you can find more here:

  • Cell Phones / Smart Phones
  • Laptop Computers / PC’s
  • KeyBoards / Mice
  • Digital Cameras
  • PDAs (can anyone share what this is…)
  • External Hard Drives
  • Other Drives: Floppy (when’s the last time you saw one of these?!), CD, DVD
  • MP3 / CD / DVD / VCR Players
  • USBs
  • Fax / Printer Cartridges
  • Wireless Internet Cards
  • Power Strips
